Biography
Lorne – Lorne has lived in Nelson for over 30 years. He and his wife, Dorothy have been married since 1973 and have raised 3 children. Of course, they’re not children anymore. They are spread across Western Canada. Lorne has 3 granddaughters and he will be proud to show you photos.
Lorne’s been a Realtor since 1992. He specializes in residential real estate, but also deals extensively with land, recreational and commercial properties. His previous career was in finance and lending, so he is well able to assist in those areas of any real estate transaction.
Community involvement is significant in Lorne’s life. It’s important to give back to a city you love. Lorne is an active member and past president of the Rotary Club of Nelson Daybreak, and serves in leadership in his church and on the worship team. Lorne also sits on the provincial representative board for his denomination, Canadian Baptists of Western Canada.
Through his community connections Lorne also volunteers to deliver Meals on Wheels and has some involvement with the Community First Health Co-op.
Lorne writes a monthly e-mail newsletter which he sends to clients around the middle of each month. This is done in a blog format, and you can check it out at: http://lorne-drew.blogspot.com/ This newsletter contains a slice of information about Nelson, the real estate market in general, some humour (most of it pretty corny) and features one of our listings.
Drew – Nelson has been Drew’s home since 1994. He and his wife, Julie are raising 3 children. Their oldest is in Junior High School and they are learning the joys (?!?) of parenting teens. They also have one just starting out in the school system, and one more pre-schooler.
Before real estate, Drew had his own business, installing decks and railings. He has lots of satisfied customers in the area, and when we get a new listing on one of the homes he has worked on, he takes special care to inspect his work. With this background he has a good knowledge of home construction.
Drew’s community involvement also is extensive and involves a leadership role in his church and being on the board of directors of the Nelson Christian Community School.
Local knowledge and community involvement coupled with a good reputation for hard work and people skills add up to first class service for all your real estate needs.
